2012 was a whirlwind year for us! We moved to Denver in mid-April. Our home in Lawrence was on the market from February to August - sigh! We stayed in a furnished apartment, then with Rob and Clare (Charlie's brother and sister-in-law) for 3 short months until we bought our home. We spent most of our time this summer looking at houses. We did enjoy a weekend trip to Pagosa Springs and a quick trip to Las Vegas while Great-Grandma Tefft and Aunt Charlita watched Adelyn.
We are enjoying being closer to Sara and Christian, Rob and Clare and Renee. Its certainly nice to have free babysitters. Denver has a lot to offer and we love our new home. Flights from OKC to Denver are around $100 and that never hurts either. I'm not going to lie, we miss our Kansas friends terribly, or at least I do.
Adelyn suprises everyday with her vocabulary, and all of the new things she is learning. We visited a new church and it happened to be communion Sunday. I was holding Addie, we went to the front and the preacher gave her a piece of bread and I took my communion. While walking back to my seat, she said, "good sandwich mommy"!
She was very excited to help decorate the Christmas tree and loves the nativity scenes. She brings them to us piece by piece and asks "Who's this?" She likes the idea of Santa and loves to sing Jingle Bells. We were talking about Charlie's Birthday coming up and she said, "Baby Jesus birthday." What a joy to see Christmas through a child's eyes.
God has blessed us in the last year. We are blessed to have our family, friends and good health.
